#SoberIsSexy

So alcohol did not treat me well this past weekend. I had another breakdown. Not only that, I just didn’t enjoy drinking as much as I used to.

I’m just a casual drinker. Few drinks, few times a month if that. But ever since my last big breakdown, in the beginning of September (for those who have read “My Story” would know what I’m talking about), I had been really monitoring my drinking or staying away from it completely, until Saturday. I decided to drink 3 drinks, which was more than what I had been limiting myself to these past 2ish months. I thought I’d be ok but I (emotionally) wasn’t. These things happen though.

Even though I never became addicted, I decided that I can’t drink anymore. I’m seeing a pattern and I’m stopping it before it gets worse. This is part of staying strong. This is part of the promise I made to Demi.

Below are some early warning signs that you’re drinking may be becoming a problem. If you suspect that it is and that you can’t control it, please make a wise decision and start thinking twice about your actions.

Do you have a drinking problem?

You may have a drinking problem if you…

Feel guilty or ashamed about your drinking.
Lie to others or hide your drinking.
Have friends or family worried about your drinking.
Need to drink to relax or feel better.
Forget what you did while drinking.
Regularly drink more than you intended to.
