So alcohol did not treat me well this past weekend. I had another breakdown. Not only that, I just didn’t enjoy drinking as much as I used to.
I’m just a casual drinker. Few drinks, few times a month if that. But ever since my last big breakdown, in the beginning of September (for those who have read “My Story” would know what I’m talking about), I had been really monitoring my drinking or staying away from it completely, until Saturday. I decided to drink 3 drinks, which was more than what I had been limiting myself to these past 2ish months. I thought I’d be ok but I (emotionally) wasn’t. These things happen though.
Even though I never became addicted, I decided that I can’t drink anymore. I’m seeing a pattern and I’m stopping it before it gets worse. This is part of staying strong. This is part of the promise I made to Demi.
